LONG-AWAITED plans for a controversial 278-home development in Cudworth have been revealed.
Barratt Homes, who first signalled their desire to build off Newland Avenue and Carrs Lane in May, finally lifted the lid on their official plans this week after months of speculation.
Plans show that 22 two-bedroom, 131 three-bedroom and 125 four-bedroom dwellings will be built, along with 417 car spaces, if approval is granted by Barnsley Council’s planning board.
A spokesman from Barratt Homes said: “Our vision is to create a distinct, high quality residential place which will make a positive contribution to Cudworth.”
