A ROYSTON councillor has urged fly-tippers to stop dumping near a popular fishing spot.
The latest incident, which was reported to Barnsley Council last week, saw household equipment left strewn across the access road on Cronkhill Bridge.
Coun Roy Miller, cabinet spokesman, added:ʓWe take fly-tipping very seriously, it is illegal and can result in a prosecution and a fine.
“We’d encourage the public to report any fly-tipping they come across by visiting our website at www.barnsley.gov.uk”
