STAFF at a children’s centre say they are overwhelmed by the kindness and support they have been given by local folk.
Volunteers at Sunnybank in Worsbrough Dale initially asked via the Barnsley Chronicle if someone could give them a sewing machine.
The idea was to create a craft group and teach the parents basic sewing skills.
To their astonishment the children’s centre in Overdale Road has so far taken delivery of 12 different sewing machines, sacks and sacks of material, bags and bags of wool and countless knitting needles.
