A THIEF followed an 89-year-old around the town centre for more than an hour before stopping her to ask for change - and then snatched her bank card leaving her shaken, frightened and angry.
Julia Widdowson had £300 stolen from her account just minutes later - the thief had her PIN number and had been stalking her since she had used a cash machine earlier that afternoon.
Julia has been left shaken and frightened and while she prides herself on being public spirited and loves to help people, says she will now be forced to ignore people who ask her for help in the street.
The incident occurred at the disabled parking bays at the top of Back Regent Street at about 2.30pm on Thursday November 26.
