TWO women have raised almost £30,000 in memory of their best friend who died of cancer at the age of 26.
Stacy Barham was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma - a type of bone cancer - at 13 and died in November 2008.
Since then, her two best friends Claire Wilkinson and Jenny Denton have held several events including a number of balls.
This year’s, held earlier this month at the Metrodome, had a Las Vegas theme and raised £8,000.
The money raised from Friday’s ball will be split between the Little Foxes Charity at Barnsley Hospital and the cervical cancer charity in memory of Jemma Taylor-Cutts and Alex Cole Swann who both died of cervical cancer earlier this year.
