LAST year his dreams of becoming a fully fledged Santa fell a little flat after the council refused to allow him to wear a fake white beard while driving a taxi.
But this year A1 Ace taxi driver Dave Leonard has made an extra effort to beat the Santa ban - by growing a real beard.
Said Dave: “I thought the ban was a bit daft to be honest but I suppose rules are rules.
“So this year I grew a real beard and spent hours in the Hair by Tami Salon in Rotherham Road having it dyed and making sure the beard looked just right.”
Dave hopes to better the £2000 he raised last year.
