THERE was a medal haul for Katsu Kai Karate Club at a recent AKA competition.
Adam Bailey took gold while there were silvers for four-year-old Daniel Grandy, Brandon Curran and Owen Armstrong.
Coach Mel Charlesworth won a gold, two silvers and two bronzes.
Also competing were Ollie Roden, Demi Charlesworth and Caitlin Coles.
Armstrong and Charlesworth also took gold at a UWK competition the next day.
In 2015, Charlesworth has picked up 14 gold medals, eight silvers and eight bronze. Armstrong has seven golds, two silvers and a bronze.
At a recent presentation meeting, Charlesworth received her fourth dan and Armstrong was given his Great Britain Elite squad badge.
