AROUND 35 businesses at industrial estates in Barnsley now have access to superfast, fibre broadband as part of the Superfast South Yorkshire rollout.
Those at the Mill Industrial Estate and neighbouring Beevor Industrial Estate, off Pontefract Road, Hoyle Mill, are able to access the internet more quickly than ever before.
The benefits for businesses include faster file and data transfers, better access to cloud computing services and software and more sophisticated web-based contact with customers and support for more flexible working.
Since the Superfast South Yorkshire first broadband street cabinet on Fall Bank Industrial Estate was ‘switched on’ in July, hundreds of homes and businesses across Barnsley can access the new technology, with more to follow in the coming months.
