A BARNSLEY teenager with a head for numbers has been named apprentice of the year at a special ceremony held at the House of Commons.
Ellie Reynolds, 18, of Charles Street , is a payroll apprentice for the GBAC accountancy firm on Shambles Street, which handles payroll for hundreds of clients.
It is her job to calculate the wages for thousands of employees and make sure they are paid accurately and timely, which she says can be high pressure but very rewarding.
