A PENSIONER underwent four hours of dental surgery after a pothole in the pavement caused her to trip and fall - knocking her tooth out.
Sheila Kendrick is still recovering from the fall on Alma Street, Barnsley, on December 29 - leaving her with a dental brace and stitches inside her mouth and on her upper lip.
The 67-year-old had got off the bus with her shopping on Dodworth Road and was making her way home to Shaw Lane when she lost her footing in the pothole, landing face down on the pavement.
