A DEVELOPER wanting to build homes across a stretch of fields between Oxspring and Thurgoland is offering incentives which he says would exceed £2m in value and help alleviate public transport problems in Penistone by clearing the way for a new transport interchange.
Yorkshire Land is hold a ‘community consultation and engagement event’ on Saturday in Oxspring to put the company’s case to the public.
Its proposals have met with stiff opposition so far with Oxspring now in the final stages of formulating a Neighbourhood Plan which could create a significant legal challenge to any plans for major development in the village.
