TWO pupils who were thrown out of class because of their wacky haircuts have returned to Kingstone School.

Sam Carnevale and Jack Doyle, both 13, went to the same barber and had criss-cross lines shaved into the sides of their heads.

They were told that the haircut was against school policy and that they would have to lose the lines or go to a referral class away from the other children.

The boys’ parents were so angry that they kept them out of school for a week, branding their treatment “pathetic”.

Now the school has allowed Sam and Jack back in as long as they agree to have acceptable haircuts in the future.

Both boys’ parents at first refused to comply with the school and said they were prepared to keep the lads at home until the pattern grew out.

Jack’s mum Elaine, 41, of Spring Street, said “It’s not affecting his grades or what he does at school, so I don’t see what the problem is. It’s absolutely pathetic."
