ABUSIVE teenagers who have targeted a village’s supermarket will be targeted by police, the Chronicle can reveal.

Calls for more to be done about the problems faced by Grimethorpe’s Asda store have been made by disgruntled shoppers during recent weeks after an influx of antisocial behaviour.

Police were last called to the store at around 4.50pm on Monday after the store reported the latest in a long line of problems.

Store manager Adam Penrose added: “It’s generally a group of teenagers who seem to be congregating outside the store’s entrance. They’re playing football there and using the free wi-fi.”
