A WOMBWELL care home is looking for a mini bar so one of its residents can get back to serving drinks.
Parkside Care Home, on Park Street, is appealing for a mini-bar so residents can have a weekly bar night - and Elsie Benn, who used to work at Lundwood Club, can serve up drinks once again.
Parkside’s activities co-ordinator Eileen Clarke said: “We are looking for a bar like people used to have in the 1960s or 1970s. Lots of homes had bars back then.
“We would like to have a bar night on a Friday so all the residents can come and have a sherry or a Guinness or something.”
