A BROWNIE pack which closed six years ago is being relaunched thanks to a grant.

Amanda Patton and Angela Atkinson are hoping to set up a group in Elsecar Church to meet on Wednesdays at the church hall.

They will pick up a cheque for £150 from the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes to help with setting up costs.

Amanda said: “The brownies in Elsecar had been around for over 25 years, but closed in 2010. The other regional groups in an around the area are over stretched.

“Hoyland brownies is fully booked up. There are a maximum of 30 girls in each unit and, as a result, there have been huge waiting lists for people in the area.”
