CALLS for anti-speeding measures to be installed on a ‘frightening’ road in Cudworth have been rejected by Barnsley Council.
The A628 - known as Cudworth Parkway - has become a magnet for speeding motorists, according to Coun Charlie Wraith, who urged for action to be taken before a fatal collision occurs.
However, Barnsley Council has ruled out the chance of a speed camera or a speed indicator device being installed - the latter being deemed to be ‘inappropriate’ on a high-speed road such as the A628.
