A MOTHER who was given a terminal cancer diagnosis is returning home from America where medical trials not available in Britain have successfully treated her tumours.

Tracy McPhee Travers, 37, has been living in Fort Lee, New Jersey, with her three children and her mother since July and is being treated at the Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan.

She was given treatments which shrunk tumours in her lungs before being started on a trial which saw the unaffected cells in her body attack the cancerous cells.
