A STUDENT from Darfield has won a £129 Ipod for her good work - putting a piece of rubbish in the bin.
Amy Crownshaw, 17, of Larch Close, was spotted by the council’s Regulatory Services team using a bin on Wellington Street.
She was entered into a prize draw and selected from all the young people spotted using litter bins throughout March. The 4gb Ipod Nano was presented to her at the Town Hall on Wednesday lunchtime by environmental services director Geoff Birkett.
Amy said: “I’m very happy I‘ve won it. I never win anything so I very rarely bother to enter any competitions. It was my mum who sent off the form for me.”
