A WOMAN who was diagnosed with a tumour the size of an orange at just six weeks old is running a half marathon to raise money for the hospital which saved her life.
Jess McLennan, 27, of Carrington Street, Old Town, underwent surgery at Sheffield Children’s Hospital to remove a massive neuroblastoma tumour from her stomach when she was just a newborn.
She underwent gruelling chemotherapy and stayed for months in hospital with her mum Tracy while she fought the cancer.
Jess, Liam and their brother Dan will now take on the 13-mile Yorkshire Half Marathon on April 10.
