THE most multicultural church in Barnsley will feature in a BBC One documentary about the changing face of Christianity next week.
Film crews have made several visits to St George’s Church at Town End as part of The Battle for Christianity, presented by Prof Robert Beckford.
They have also filmed at the home of Canon David Munby, who says 20 years ago he had a vision to build a ‘house of prayer for all nations in Barnsley’.
“That vision has been fulfilled in remarkable ways in the last ten years,” he said.
