BARNSLEY College business students got an expert insight into the workings of employment law during two mock tribunal sessions.
The students were joined by solicitor Toby Pochron of Ironmonger Curtis LLP for the sessions.
He explained how an employment tribunal operates, what businesses must do to avoid being taken to a tribunal and the likely outcomes of unfair dismissal claims.
The students were then split into teams for the mock tribunals during which they had to work out their own methods for questioning witnesses and sum up the legal arguments before the judges passed their verdict.
