A BARNSLEY dog owner has created a poignant tribute at the park where her ‘brave’ Labrador loved chasing tennis balls.
Susan Barnes, 53, was faced with the difficult decision of putting her beloved black Labrador Murphy to sleep last Thursday.
She didn’t know what to do with his basket of tennis balls so on Sunday she decided to take them to Locke Park and leave them for other dogs to chase.
Susan, who said Murphy loved chasing balls in the park, pinned up a simple A4 sign over the basket of balls saying ‘A present from Murphy’.
