PLANS to increase CCTV monitoring of staff at ASOS have been slammed by union GMB.

It is understood there are proposals to kit out workstations at the online fashion retailer’s Grimethorpe distribution warehouse.

Employees were briefed last month about the introduction of additional security measures where staff pick and pack customer orders and told it is to improve ‘customer experience’.

It is understood some 200 cameras could be installed, each watching over between ten and 20 of the warehouse’s 4,000 staff.
