A DAD and his 20 month-old son had a lucky escape when yobs threw a stone from Cudworth bridge while he was driving under it.

David Percival, 36 and son Regan were travelling home to Cudworth around 10pm on Saturday night after dropping off his wife Clare’s sister and family at home.

As the electrician was driving under the bridge he heard a bang and crash and saw a hole in the windscreen.

Luckily Regan was in the back in his car seat and escaped injury but the tot was left shaken.

The pair got home on South Field Road and David phoned the police who later went to the bridge.

Clare, 26, said she had since spoken to other drivers in the area who said similar incidents had happened before.
