Barnsley have withdrawn contract offers to full-backs George Williams and George Smith and the duo will now leave the club.
The out of contract duo had originally been offered new deals to stay at the club but they have now done a U turn.
Williams impressed after breaking into the team midway through the season and played both of the games at Wembley.
Homegrown Smith, from Penistone, played at the start of the season before a loan move to Crawley.
The pair are not the only ones to have left the club this week. Under 21 coach Paul Wilkinson has gone to Northampton as assistant manager and striker Harry White has been sold to Solihull Moors.
