A ROYSTON man who suffered a near-fatal brain injury and had to learn how to eat, talk and walk again has raised £1,200 for charity - by hurling himself from a plane.
Jack Mitchell, of Midland Road, was scheduled to do the jump in Lancashire last month but poor weather conditions it to be postponed.
The 23-year-old relies on an electric wheelchair and has mobility issues after he slipped on ice and hit his head in a freak accident on a night out in Barnsley town centre with his friends in 2009.
But Sunday saw Jack realise his dream to raise cash for Sheffield-based Neurocare, who Jack says helped save his life.
