A BARNSLEY teenager who paid £100 to rescue a dog from the pound says the pooch has paid her back... by saving her life.
Katrina Armstrong believes she owes her life to her pet dog after it woke her up in the early hours when someone set fire to a wheelie bin under her window.
Katrina 18, was fast asleep at home in Monkspring, Worsbrough Dale, at 1.40am last Friday when her dog Lady scampered into the bedroom.
The dog then began jumping on the bed and nudging her sleeping owner.
