BARNSLEY people are being invited to take a look around the new May Day Green Market when it opens on Saturday September 3.
Construction work is now complete and now a team of cleaners are in to ensure the building is in top shape to welcome its first shoppers.
Opening day festivities will commence at 9.30am with the Mayor of Barnsley Coun Linda Burgess, cutting the ribbon and announcing it officially open for business.
The first 50 people through the door will receive a £5 shopping voucher to spend on the day in the May Day Green or indoor market.
