JUNIOR doctors at Barnsley Hospital will take part in a national five-day strike which is set to be the most disruptive yet.

The British Medical Association yesterday confirmed further industrial action will take place between 8am and 5pm from Monday September 12 to Friday September 16, with further dates to be confirmed.

It follows a vote by junior doctors in July to reject the proposed contract recommended by the BMA which the government says is needed to deliver more services seven days a week.

It is set to be imposed next month.
