A RACING driver who nearly gave up on his dream of a career in motorsport is celebrating a return to the track in style after helping his team win a European Le Mans Series title at the first attempt.
Silkstone-born Christian England was only able to return to competitive motorsport after receiving support from a local firm which provided him with funding to secure a seat with United Autosports.
He joined teammates Alex Brundle, son of Formula 1 legend Martin Brundle and American driver Mike Guasch to compete in this year’s European Le Mans LMP3 series championship, with a place on the grid of the 24 hour Le Mans race at stake.
