THE FATHER of a little girl who died earlier this month has praised the efforts of the ambulance service who tried to save her.
Brooke Hope Fletcher, two, from Kitchin Road, Wombwell, suffered from a mystery condition from birth.
It led to her spending the first nine months of her life in hospital needing multiple CPR resuscitations and intensive treatment.
Brooke stopped breathing at home on October 9. Air ambulance and paramedic crews managed to get her heart beating again and after a short stay in Barnsley Hospital, she was transferred through to Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Brooke continued to breath using a ventilator but despite the efforts of doctors, she died surrounded by family on October 11.
