Barnsley defender Andy Yiadom has been called up for the Ghana national team for the first time.

The 24-year-old Londoner, who has represented England C in the past, is in the squad for the World Cup qualifier in Egypt on November 13.

Yiadom has started 12 of Barnsley's 15 Championship games this season since signing from Barnet in the summer, playing mainly at right-back but also at left-back in recent games.

Meanwhile, Adam Armstrong has been included in England under 20s' squad for their trip to South Korea for the three-game Continental Cup. Former Barnsley loanees Callum Connolly and Harry Chapman are also in the squad as is Penistone lad Louis Reed, who plays for Sheffield United.

Barnsley captain Conor Hourihane has been named in the Republic of Ireland's initial squad for their latest World Cup qualifiers.
