SOUTH Yorkshire Police is hunting for information about a Saab car after a fatal hit and run in Thurnscoe last week.
Last Monday, Marie Cross, 36, was walking along Barrowfield Road with a man when she was struck by a vehicle which failed to stop. She later died in hospital from the serious injuries sustained.
A vehicle has been seized by police and subjected to forensic testing. Last week a 36-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and have since been bailed.
Sergeant Steve Askham, the senior investigating officer on the case and part of the police’s serious collision unit, said they are seeking information on the whereabouts of a dark coloured Saab 93 estate car and its occupants, believed to have been involved.
