Oakwell is set up to be lit up yet again tonight as fans plan another touching tribute to owner Patrick Cryne in front of the Sky TV cameras.

Reds supporters used their mobile phone lights towards the end of Saturday's draw with Wigan Athletic, while singing Cryne's name.

Cryne, who has stepped away from the club while undergoing treatment, was not in his usual seat in the directors' box but his wife Jean and son James were there. The tribute is expected to be repeated tonight against Nottingham Forest in the 65th minute to reflect the owner's age.

Barnsley almost scored during the tribute against Wigan, with captain Conor Hourihane curling a free-kick just over the bar. Head coach Paul Heckingbottom said: "It was a great touch from the fans.  We had the free-kick and I was thinking 'this will be a great moment' and 'this could really happen'.

"It would have been perfect. But it was still a great moment and we have got something else planned in front of the cameras against Forest."
