THE Barnsley stars of BBC series Our Dancing Town will be appearing again in the next two episodes of the programme about a choreographer’s mission to get Yorkshire people dancing.
There was a great reaction to the first episode of Our Dancing Town which showed Steve Elias creating a huge dancing spectacle through the streets of Barnsley town centre featuring people from all walks of life including miners, majorettes, police officers, glass workers, office workers, Northern Soul dancers and Old Sikstone Brass Band.
Since then Steve has been shown creating similar works in Skipton and Huddersfield, but in the final two episodes of the series the action moves to York where he wants to bring all three towns together with the people of York to create a ‘breathtaking finale’.
Our Dancing Town is on BBC Two, Tuesday, 9pm.
