A WOMAN whose dog got trapped in a network of water pipes wants to track down a mystery man who helped during the four hour dramatic rescue.
Denise Brown, 53, had been walking her Welsh springer spaniel Dylan on the Trans-Pennine Trail at Monk Bretton on Sunday.
The drama unfolded when curious Dylan, four, went down a banking and into a tunnel under a Yorkshire Water pumping station and didn’t come out.
Denise, who lives in Barnsley, said he usually comes back when she calls him but when he didn’t come back alarm bells started to ring.
“I went to the mouth of the tunnel and could hear him howling and he obviously couldn’t get back out,” she said.
