TEACHERS at a Lundwood primary school have been hailed heroes after helping to save the life of a little boy who choked on a 10p coin.
AJ Leach, five, was with his mother Natalie at parents’ evening at Outwood Primary Academy Littleworth Grange on Tuesday when he started wrenching and his eyes started rolling.
Natalie, 34, of Harold Avenue, Lundwood, said: “I was looking at AJ’s work and waiting for his teacher and AJ was messing about with something. It was a 10p coin which got lodged in his throat.
“He was choking and couldn’t breathe.”
