YOU might not have known it, but you’ve probably heard Chris Haigh’s musical scores in trailers for blockbuster films including X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Wolverine, Taken 2 and Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Now, the 35-year-old cinematic composer from Elsecar has recorded a seven-track album with 50-piece orchestra and 24-voice choir at London’s famous Abbey Road studio where the Beatles also recorded.

Chris was asked to write the album, which features big, dramatic-sounding pieces, by a music label. He composed them at his home-studio before heading down to London to record them with the English Session Orchestra and the London City Voices choir.

The tracks are about two-and-a-half minutes long and may feature in films, trailers or on television. The tracks were recorded in studio one because it is bigger than studio two which was used by The Beatles.
