THE motorway junction at Dodworth is ‘a pain in the butt’ for HGV drivers, according to a Barnsley councillor.
About £1.5m was spent improving the heavily congested junction 37 two years ago which included creating new lanes and putting traffic lights at the entrances and exits of the roundabout.
But Coun Dave Leech is not entirely happy with the improvements, complaining that lanes on the northbound-bound approach to the motorway are too narrow making it difficult for HGVs to navigate.
He made the comment during considerations for a new 7,225sqm industrial unit for a pallet storage and distribution business at the nearby Capitol Park business site, expected to create 55 jobs.
