A SHAFTON woman has realised her dream of completing the London Marathon - and raised more than £2,000 for charity in the process.
Emma Aldred completed the 26.2-mile course on Sunday in a time of five hours and 48 minutes and the 36-year-old was running in memory of friend Ben Wright, who died of cancer aged 20 in 2002.
Keen runner Emma headed down to London last weekend for her first ever marathon and so far has raised £2,300 for Teenage Cancer Trust.
