SEVEN arrests were made by police as part of a major operation to flush out criminals in Barnsley,

Officers flooded Barnsley town centre, Kendray, Royston and Goldthorpe on Wednesday as part of Operation Duxford.

More than 150 police officers from across the force were drafted in to work alongside officials including the fire service and council.

It resulted in drugs being seized, cars confiscated and even a taser gun discovered during a search of one property.
