AN urban art project in Royston Park inspired by the death of a local teenager has been completed.
Daniel Gregory, of Jesmond Avenue, Royston, was found hanged in his home in May 2015 after succumbing to his battle with mental illness which had had an effect throughout his teenage years.
The popular 18-year-old was known for his love of art and a piece of work he did in Royston Park, where more than 200 people gathered to release lanterns when news of his death broke, has been added to after a specially-commissioned project was funded by the Royston Ward Alliance.
The colourful artwork - which spells ‘extraordinary’ - has been painted onto the park’s pavilion after it was started by Daniel several years ago.
