Everton youngster Joe Williams will spend the season on loan at Barnsley.

The 20-year-old has agreed a season-long loan with The Reds and is in line for a first appearance against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Williams, a midfielder, has previously captained Everton's under 23 side and has played alongside former Reds Mason Holgate and Gethin Jones.
