DRAMATIC footage reveals a pedestrian had a lucky escape after walking past a garden wall just two seconds before a car smashed though it on Thursday.
The walker passes the spot on Dodworth Road, where it meets Shaw Lane, just before a blue Ford Focus estate smashed into the garden.
Devastated Ian and Diane Portman, whose wall was demolished in the crash, said this is the third time a car has broken their stone wall.
The garden, which was the couple's pride and joy, was ruined by the smash which was captured on their CCTV system.
The shocking footage reveals just how close the unknown passing pedestrian had been to serious injury or even death and shows the driver and passenger immediately running away from the scene.
