EMERGENCY services are still dealing with an incident at Barnsley Academy, but have played down fears chemicals are involved.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “We are assisting the police and ambulance service at an incident at Barnsley Academy where some pupils and staff have presented with some medical symptoms.
“We are still determining the nature of the incident, but do not believe there is any cause for public alarm.
“We don’t believe any chemicals are involved at this stage, but are still determining the nature of the incident.”
