BARNSLEY won big in the postcode lottery.
Two different streets have been the lucky winners in the national prize draw.
Three neighbours on Bakewell Road in Athersley South won £1,000 each when their post code, S71 3SD, was drawn on Friday.
Then on Tuesday, another three people on Dovebush Way, Barugh Green won £1,000 after S75 1QE was drawn.
Meanwhile, as part of the organisation charity giveaway, Groundwork South Yorkshire has been awarded £16,800 from the People’s Lottery to develop a community green space, and Barnsley Black Heart Rollers was awarded £900 last year to develop and promote sport for women.
