COULD this be the healthiest man in Barnsley? Holgate teacher Andy Hunt has not had a day off work sick in 32 years. Andy, 53, of Halcross Avenue, Wombwell, says he loves his job and now hopes to make it to retirement without losing his exemplary record. As well as his day job, Andy sometimes works evenings and weekends as a football coach. He said: “I don’t think there is a secret. I know over the years the job has changed, but I’ve always been happy and I like working with kids. “Some people say I must be crazy to do a job working with kids, but I find it therapeutic.” He has previously worked at Willowgarth, Brampton Ellis and Clifton in Rotherham, but has taught personal, health and social education at Holgate for 22 years. He jokingly describes the subject as “sex, drugs and rock and roll”.
