A YOUTH who was out in town on the busiest party night of the year went home with a broken jaw after being assaulted.
The 18-year-old was attacked from behind in Bodega's bar, Pitt Street, and lost consciousness. Police say he was then kicked or stamped on, breaking his jaw.
The assault happened just before 10pm on 'Bimbos Friday', December 21. That is the night when many revellers head to town for a pre-Christmas pub crawl.
Police say Bodegas was full when the assault happened and urged witnesses to contact 736030.
