Barnsley will use the three cup ties in the next week to give fringe players and those returning from injury some competitive gametime.
The Reds host Everton under 21s in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday from 7.30pm then Bradford City in the same competition a week later with an FA Cup visit of Notts County inbetween on Saturday.
Stendel said: "Players who have not played so much in the last weeks or the players who have been injured can play in these games. Maybe we will try new systems but of course we want to win these games."
Striker Cauley Woodrow, who has been injured since signing in August, made his debut as a substitute in the 1-0 win over Southend United on Saturday and is expected to play regularly in the cup games.
Stendel said: "It is good for Cauley to start his season for Barnsley FC. I am sure that he can play very well and be an important player for us. It will be good for him to play in the cup matches and be fitter when we play our next league game at Accrington Stanley (on November 17)."
Left-back Zeki Fryers and winger Lloyd Isgrove are also expected to face Everton after injury while Stendel said centre-back Adam Jackson would return for the game after missing Saturday's match.
Others who could come into the team are Ryan Hedges, Jared Bird, Ben Williams, Jordan Williams, Jacob Brown and Victor Adeboyejo.
A win for Barnsley would put them into the last 32 knockout stage. They won their only other game so far 2-1 at Oldham Athletic who then beat Bradford and Everton to qualify from Group F.
Barnsley won the competition when it was called the Checkatrade Trophy at Wembley in 2016. They are unbeaten in eight ties since late 2014.
