BEN the dog does more recycling than the council, according to his owner.
The six-year-old German Shepherd regularly amasses piles of plastic bottles he has collected when he goes for walkies.
He lives on Maple Close, Kendray, where residents have been waiting a year-and-a-half for the council to start collecting recycling bins.
His owner Mark Richardson, 37, has labelled the council 'inept' after repeated requests for the council to include them in the borough's recycling programme.
He said: "My dog recycles more than the council. He's like an eco-dog, I suppose."
